Now & ThenNow & Then by William Corlett
Buy used from: $0.99
Great book from start to finish. Sexy, tragic and suspenseful. I could hardly put it down and turned into an anti-social bookworm at lunchtime because of it. This book was like Beneath the Wheel, Lord Dismiss Us and Call Me By Your Name all rolled into one. Highly recommended!

This novel doesn't have anything to do with vampires but you won't care about that. Who would have ever thought that opera could be so very sexy...

One of the first gay novels I read as a teenager
The Lure: A NovelThe Lure: A Novel by Felice Picano
Buy used from: $4.80
Suspense, seduction and humour all in a 409 page package. Picano has a great way with words and the only thing which dampened things for me was the constant reminder (via the mention of mustaches and record players)that this book was set/written in the 70s. Every guy seemed to be built like a house with rippling muscles and big, bushy mustaches. 'staches aside, this novel is well worth reading

PeterPeter by Kate Walker

Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to YouSomeday This Pain Will Be Useful to You by Peter Cameron

Heartbreaking novel about first love between two teenagers in the South. This novel is beautifully written and conjures up some very strong imagery towards the end
Winter Birds: A NovelWinter Birds: A Novel by Jim Grimsley

Not much gay content in this book but it's still a worthwhile read anyway. Tells the story of an introverted, hemophilic boy living in a very abusive home. The sequel is pretty good as well

Letters to Montgomery Clift: A Novel (Working Classics)Letters to Montgomery Clift: A Novel (Working Classics) by Noel Alumit
Buy new: $12.55 / Used from: $2.00
An amazing first novel! The imaginary friend aspect reminded me of a Touch of Pink and the ending made me think of Tarnation. Novel went on a bit longer than I would have liked. I thought that it could have ended nicely either on page 202 or 232. The characters were more than likable and I can't wait for the author's next book. Read this one!
Avoidance: A NovelAvoidance: A Novel by Michael Lowenthal
Buy new: $13.68 / Used from: $0.91
Michael Lowenthal (Mysterious Skin author Scott Heim's other half) brings us a novel filled with youthful obsession and temptation in the style of Mann's Death in Venice. I read this book within 3 days flat. It was very, very hard to put down and the only reason it took me three days to finish it was because I had to do things such as sleep, eat, go to class etc.
Call Me by Your Name: A NovelCall Me by Your Name: A Novel by Andre Aciman

The Man Without a FaceThe Man Without a Face by Isabelle Holland

Very engaging novel about a spirited young man and the lives of those he touches over three decades
War Against the Animals: A NovelWar Against the Animals: A Novel by Paul Russell
Buy new: $14.52 / Used from: $1.02
It takes about 250 pages before anything much actually starts to happen and even then not a whole lot goes on but this is still another interesting novel from a promising writer. If you enojoyed Russell's Sea of Tranquillity but weren't thrilled to death with The Salt Point then you'll probably find that this novel falls somewhere in between the two.
