Not to be cheesy, but this really was the original “be happy with the ones you love before it’s too late” movie. So screw money, screw your problems, let’s all drink and be merry and have a good time! Get out The Imbible and Cranium! Put on some more hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps!

Although I personally am a beer and straight shots of hard alcohol kind of guy, I recognize the need for a book like this, and endorse it fully. Also, chicks dig a nicely made drink that doesn’t involve rum and coke.

The first book in the best series outside of Mr. Potter. Written in the first person, Riordan writes as if telling you the story from a chair right across from you, and is legitimately funny, adventurous, and attention-grabbing. One of those books I was not happy to put down when my train reached its destination. Any book that has me wishing my train was late? Done.
