The most outstanding Joan film and the best Joan DVD. Crawford won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1945 for this movie as she plays the mother of an evil, spolied girl. That love eventually leads to murder! Features a great documentary on her life.

A rare gem, this movie gave Crawford a 3rd Oscar nomination and revived her career in the early '50's. Joan is married to an actor, played to perfection by Jack Palance, who plots to kill her. Winner of 4 Oscar nominations.

Joan plays the ultimate bitch in this one and for a full 90 minutes. Crawford plays a woman named Eva who is having an affair with her sister-in-law's fiance. Beautiful cloths too. Screenplay is by Ranald Macdougall, who wrote "Mildred Pierce".
Mommie Dearest (Hollywood Royalty/Special Collector's Edition)Mommie Dearest (Hollywood Royalty/Special Collector's Edition)
Buy new: $10.49 / Used from: $3.90
Although not starring Joan, this is a film on her life. Faye Dunaway gives the greatest performance by an actress ever as Crawford is depicted as being an alcoholic and a very abusive mother who goes on rampages throughout her house. Most disturbing part of the film is when she tries to kill her daughter Christina.

Joan's last great movie and more than a horror film, "Straight Jacket" shows one of Joan's strongest performances. A wonderful documentary is also included with the DVD; Diane Baker, who plays Joan's daughter, is interviewed. Directed by William Castle.

This 1957 film should have given Crawford another Oscar nod. She also stated this was the hardest film she ever worked on and she hated being in England beacuse of the terrible working conditions. Heather Sears gives a great performance.

Joan's final film role. This is a terrible film, but Crawford is excellent in it. Her second movie for Herman Cohen. It was filmed in England with Joan supplying her own wardrobe and getting dressed in the car before takes. Unfortunately, at this time Hollywood turned its back on the greatest actress ever.
