1954 Japanese and American versions. Original is better but the American version has it's merits.

1956 / (Frankenstein's Monsters: Sanda vs. Gaia) 1966 Rodan is one of my favorites of the early Toho kaijus. Gargantuas is a very loose 'sequel' to Frankenstein vs. Baragon.

1958 Surprisingly good. Don't know why they never brought him back (except for a momentary appearance in Destroy All Monsters).

1963 Featured kaiju: Manda

(Godzilla vs. The Thing) 1964 This is one of the best of the sequels, as in actually a good movie (or at least good for a kaiju flick).

(Dagora, The Space Monster) 1964 Fun movie but the monster is lame... kinda like a giant flying jellyfish.

1965 Baragon Alert!!! Featuring Baragon, a sentimental favorite for me. In which giant burrowing lizard fights giant pimply teenager with bad teeth.

1967 Featuring Minya and Kumonga. Also missing the American dub.

1968 Baragon Alert!!! The first Toho Kaiju flick I saw at the movies... featuring Godzilla, Ghidora, Rodan, Mothra (in caterpillar form), Angilas, Gorosaurus, Minya, Manda, Baragon, Varan.

1969 No kaiju in this one, but it does have a flying lion! Actually, the lion is kinda big... Goofy sci-fi thriller kind of stuff. Top notch!

(Godzilla vs the Smog Monster) 1971 If you're into action figures, the 2000s are the decade of Hedorah for some reason known only to the Japanese.

(Godzilla vs. the Cosmic Monster) 1974 The first appearance of Mecha-Me. Featuring King Seesar and the 'Spacemen from Space,' who walked off the set of Planet of the Apes and onto the Toho lot.

featuring Gojira (1954), Godzilla Raids Again (1955), Mothra vs Godzilla (1964), Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster (1964), Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965), All Monsters Attack (1969), and Terror of Mechgodzilla (1975). This is the third time this group of titles has been issued, this time with nice features and commentaries.

1977 There is, as promised, a monster bird! We also get lousy acting from explorer types, lame effects, silly dubbing... in other words, everything you could want.

1993 Featuring Rodan and 'Baby Godzilla,' so cute you want big daddy to stomp on him just like he did to Bambi! Also introducing the new and not improved version of Mecha-Me... big, clunky and awkward. Huh?

1996/1997 Featuring foes Death Ghidora and Dagharla respectively. Pretty good but aimed a tad too much towards kids for my taste. The little faeries should be squashed.

2000 All I can say is the wires holding Megaguirus up in the air make my life worth living.

2002 Featuring a much cooler version of Mecha-Me (called Kiryu in this movie... what's that all about?).

2004 Featuring Rodan, Mothra, Anguirus, Ebirah, Hedorah, Monster X, Kaiser Ghidora, King Seesar, Kumonga, Gigan, Manda, Kamacura and more. More monsters than Destroy All Monsters can't save this movie from itself. Not a great way to finish off G-flicks (it's only temporary, don't panic).
