Fairytale of New York by the Pogues. It's so beautiful. I love their voices together, and the lyric about "ya scumbag, ya maggot.." so classic. It's also very sad.

What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? By Ella Fitzgerald It's so beautifully sung, and I love the whole story of the song. This girl is dreaming of some very popular boy (that's how I see it) and it's just so sweet. I hope that in the end, they spend New Years Eve together.

Candy Cane Children by the White Stripes (album?) Good song

Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson This is the classic Christmasy-feeling song, even though its not really about Christmas, just winter. The best is the recording with the whip sound and the jingle bells and the horse's hooves. It reminds me of being little and driving around looking at Christmas lights.

The Carol of the Bells (by whoever, not neccesarily off this CD) It's a very haunting and kind of exciting song that builds up. It's always given me a strange feeling. It sounds sort of frantic, but very beautiful. I hope this is a good list, and that someone out there gives some of these songs a try. They're all really fantastic and Christmasy.
