Segovia: the name says it all.  This double CD is simply packed with an eclectic array of chef d'ouevres, to include Asturius in A minor, Polonaise, Fantasia, and Pictures at an Exhibition.

A jaw-dropping live acoustic show from three ridiculously talented masters: Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, & Paco DeLucia--none of  whom may actually be human.

Virtually all of Jeff Beck's music is incredible.  This is simply my favorite Beck CD.

Larry Carlton is a quarter century of greatness.  This CD reveals a departure from Steely Dan & Joni, featuring surreal polished lightening-quick picking melded with immaculate feathery smoothness.

Modern meistros of mega guitar: Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai--batten down the hatches!!

Rush's Alex Liefson is known for his hard, intimidating, tasty, and brilliant riffs, which find a new and higher level of greatness on this CD--Rush's masterpiece.

It's understaded and oh so amazing-the pinnacle of George Harrison's amazing career (with a little help from some friends, like Dave Mason).  Props to Ravi Shankar who didn't make the list.

Real guitar players understand that Clapton gets way too much pub...but this CD is simply too good to overstate.  "The Core" reaches out and grabs you.

If you've never heard it, you simply will not believe how good this is...Gary Hoey is amped up.

This Soundgarden CD is quintissential of a variety of great modern guitar work from bands like Alice In Chains, RHCP, Radiohead, STP, The Foo Fighters, and Pearl Jam.  I like this CD a lot.

Jethro Tull's Martin Lancelot Barre is, perhaps, the most underrated guitar player on Earth.  Barre is spectacular. This should be one of dozens of Tull CDs in your collection.

Quick pickin', fun strummin', banjos, violins, six string guitars, twelve string guitars, a bunch of hillbilly freaks, and the legendary Jerry Garcia.  You cannot lose.
