Might as well start with this (the rest of the list in in chronological order by the artist). Perhaps the most beloved Christmas album of all time. A hundred years from now, it will still be the most beloved.

More somber than her previous album, but her voice is still as great as ever,

Includes their original album "The Beach Boys' Christmas Album" plus other holiday-related singles and interviews. Their slower songs get really monotonous, but their fast-paced numbers are awesome.

Surely one of the Top 5 (maybe 3) "Synonymous with Christmas" recording artists, though his work obviously extends far beyond the holidays.

Okay, technically not an original album, but it does collect all his Christmas tracks from the original "A Winter Romance" and "The Dean Martin Christmas Album," both of which were only half-devoted to Christmas songs. So this release is the way to go.

Really a retitled version of Mathis' second Christmas album "The Sounds of Christmas" only sans two tracks: "The Little Drummer Boy" (which is actually included on the next album) and "Have Reindeer Will Travel" (which as far as I know isn't available anywhere).

Contains both his Christmas albums, "Elvis' Christmas Album" and "Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas." Personally, I replaced the four gospel tracks that end the first one with the non-album single "If Every Day Was Like Christmas."

Fantastic ground-breaking classic! Darlene Love's amazing "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" steals the show.

"Do You Hear What I Hear?" alone makes this album a must-buy.

Vastly underrated! Quirky musical with a Leslie Bricusse score that grows on you, as does Albert Finney's performance. It may take more than one viewing to realize what an extraordinary achievement it is. And Sir Alec Guinness is a blast as Jacob Marley. This whole film deserves to be much more well-known.

A miracle of a movie, in that it's not the expected "Muppets spoof a classic" fare. Though it is full of great Muppet moments, it is a sincere (and sincerely GOOD) adaptation of Dickens. Scrooge is again uniquely played, this time by Michael Caine, and the movie has lots of atmosphere and a superb musical score and songs. Wonderful and moving.

You know, this really isn't a Christmas movie at all. Aside from the last two minutes of the movie, it has NOTHING to do with Christmas! But tradition is tradition, and the holidays really is the best time to watch it. This movie's impact goes beyond words.

Another one that's not really a Christmas movie, but this one just has that Christmasy feeling to it, you know? (Plus, Santa DOES make an appearance!) Now I actually grew up with the colorized version, and seeing as 1) it's set in Toyland for crying out loud, and 2) the Legend Films colorization job is flawless, this DVD is the way to go.

As of yet, there has not been a definitive, complete collection of the Rankin/Bass stop-motion Christmas cartoons (which, to me, are more synonymous with Christmas than anything else on this list). But this set and the next two are as close as you can get. Again, here's hoping to next year!

Should have been part of the aforementioned set, but again, Warner seems to want to squeeze every last penny out of the public for as long as they can. Oh well! That's not to leave this list on a bitter note! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!
