They all run together as a single story; they don't really stand alone, which is why I selected the entire boxed set here instead of just the first one. And they're very short so they don't have much staying power (i.e. not airplane trip material) Haven't seen the movie yet.

Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $2.59 Okay, so I just had to add this single book because it's actually based on the real Race Across America (RAAM). One of our good friends was the first recumbent solo to finish RAAM two years ago. If you are reading this list and made it down this far, but the books are too advanced (or not enough pictures) for your boys, you might try them out on the Geronimo Stilton books - fun and adventure.

Buy new: $7.91 / Used from: $1.97 Graphic novel series that my older son has enjoyed. I haven't even looked at them, so I couldn't tell you what they're about, but glancing at the cover reminds me of Casper the Friendly Ghost.
