Urbania is a gay themed film without clichés; it has no sentimental feel good story and makes no excuses. It is a thought provoking, challenging and somewhat difficult film. It opens the door to the dark sides of human nature, or of being gay, while being gay is not the center of the story. A great film!

I think this is one of the unseen movies starring Nick Stahl. Nick plays a smart and emotionally unavailable street kid, exploited, hopeless and hung up in the industry of sex and drugs. It is a dark film and young Nick Stahl delivers a great performance.

Gods and monsters reflect on the often uneasy friendship between a young straight ex-marine, and an aging homosexual film director and artist. The film entails mysteries, speculations and interpretations of what might or really could have happened. Reality and fiction seem to merge, and will leave you at times unsettled.

This film is not the best gay movie out there, but worth giving a chance. Mathieu meets Cedric over the summer. Both have different live experiences, wants, needs and the abilities to express them. A relationship is almost impossible due to their differences. The movie is sad and without a clear ending, but rather one that leaves room for imagination.

Testosterone is a dark story about vengeful, compulsive, sexually charged Dean traveling to Spain to find Paolo, the lover that left him. Dean is not interested in anything but getting what he wants, therefore Paolo is wrong no matter what, and he has to pay. This is the story about a self absorbed American traveling to a country he has no clue about to bring Paolo back with him – no matter how!

This film is not really dark it just has the dark memory of the two leads of being sexually abused by the same man, and not having the strength to deal with it properly. The movie gives insight into two opposite feelings about being a victim; it is honest and matter of fact without explanation. The story is raw and graphic, but without judgment and pity. It is a typical and good Araki film!

Amnesia is an intriguing and thought-provicing film – not without flaws - about true events. Due to a trauma and appearently due to the previous problems in his life, a young man turned up in Quebec and does not remember who he is. Then one day he does remember, but it turns out he is not who he believed to be. This film is somewhat sad and dark due to circumstances and writing of the story.

Gay actor playing ... what? However, this is a geat film, and only 'dark' because of it's bleak reality in the scenes and story line. A film with a great story line and many covered-up truths.
