Buy used from: $1.74 I had to use the pic from this 1961 Kate Hepburn version to rep the rare VHS(but I have one) 1996 Canadian film of this Eugene O'Neill classic, far superior to any other version including Hepburn's. I've seen all recorded productions of one of my fave plays. Well-acted, especially William Hutt of our Stratford Shakespearian Festival.

Buy used from: $4.00 An early Canadian film(1971)gets my vote as the best ORIGINAL one. The film of this novel is hard to find on DVD but I have a copy. Stars Gordon Pinsent(lately acclaimed for 'Away From Her')who also wrote the novel.

Buy used from: $2.25 Another strong performance by Gordon Pinsent in this touching film about closure of a mine and its effect on a small town. Pinsent also shines as recurring self-aggrandizing blowhard Hap Shaughnessy on THE RED GREEN SHOW
(PBS).

Story of Canadian train robber Bill Miner. Stars Richard Farnsworth. Another pretty good movie apparently not available on video is BETWEEN FRIENDS which boasts a strong lived-in performance by Bonnie Bedelia.(Die Hard,
