This book was not as fun and quick as I expected. I loved the characters and the events were entertaining, but a lot of the novel was slow moving for me. I did enjoy the book overall.

I do not normally read mystery series and this one convinced me that I will not be starting anytime soon. In truth, I only picked this book up because I was staying at a relative's house without anything to read and they only had series mysteries around. I must say that if you haven't read other books in this series and don't know the characters well, the plot isn't enough to keep you interested.

I believed this book would be a lot 'fluffier' than it turned out to be. Surprisingly, very deep and moving. This was my first Fielding book and I was very impressed by her character and plot development. This will not be my last Fielding novel.

I really enjoyed this book more than 'A Walk to Remember' (also by Sparks) because the characters and the plot were more developed. The ending is heartwrenching and I'm starting to think Sparks is incapable of writing a happy novel. Skip the wretched movie adaptation.
