Seasons 1-3 so far... Violent, profane, so funny. If you don't know of Denis Leary--here's your initiation. This is the show I won't let my friends go to Iraq without. It's about NYC firefighters in the aftermath of 9/11. Also, addiction, dysfunctional families, bravery, and sex.

Comes out really soon--the only one on this list I haven't watched more than once... see write up for season 1.

The Office in America is really a fun show but nothing beats the original. Watch it first.

Gotta see this. It's sort of a sketch comedy so if you're not into that kind of stuff (SNL, Kids in the Hall, MAD TV) then don't watch it. If you like your comedy on the unserious side--this is for you. Inside jokes abound!

My only criticism is that it's very short. You can watch an entire season in an afternoon. But it is so funny. Maybe go in on the purchase price with some friends and pass it around.

Need I say more. If you haven't discovered this gem then let me turn you on to some others: the Simpsons, Southpark, Beavis and Butthead, Futurama... Something for everyone.

Zach Braff and company. So funny. The BEST writing. Inside jokes, gags, songs, even a little bit of true drama. M*A*S*H for the new generation.

If you like this show as much as I do then you'll get plenty of mileage out of it because it has been going so long. Happily whiled away alot of downtime in Iraq with this show.

Haha, so you see my softer side. Felicity is a show about a girl going to college. It is all about her feelings. If that is too much for you, stay away. If not, enjoy this show. The episodes are long and the writing is the star. Some are laugh-out-loud funny but in between there are some that might make you cry. Very emotional. Great amount of TVshow time for your money.

Spooky, dusty, a real departure from other shows. I love this one. If you're really killing time--then you'll need some variety. I spent two years away from home and all that time I came to really appreciate the genius and creativity that cable shows can add to the table.

When you're stuck in one place, you can still travel... I love to travel, though too often I find the government chooses where I go and for how long. Globe Trekker is my favorite series of travel programs. Pick your favored destination, I've watched at least twenty.

So we're at the movie part of the list. These are personal favorites but also movies that are good to watch many times and with groups. I think they are good investments because you can trade excellent movies of your own for anything someone else has to watch. Doubly entertaining that way, and you still come out owning the best ones for yourself!

Better than I imagined it could be! Really not for kids or my mom.

Mouth, Data, Chunk, Sloth. This movie made my childhood more sweet. I will forever view asthma inhalers and braces in a different light thanks to sweet little Mikey. sigh.

Required watching. Ultimate comedy.
