Of the many sequels to the original film, this is the only official one, and features Franco Nero's return to the role. More of a period action film than a Western, but still pretty fun. *

One of the most beloved films in the genre, a reputation which is well deserved. I'd place it in my Top 5. The ending will stun you. *

Decent blending of the spaghetti western and blaxploitation genres. The score (by Jerry Goldsmith) is too American, but it's still a good film. Fred Williamson especially does well with his role as a wily gambler.

A story about a young man who becomes the apprentice of an elder gunfighter, and eventually is superior to him. Good performances by Giuliano Gemma and Lee Van Cleef as the student and teacher respectively. * (Note: This tape is missing 15 minutes and has horrible picture quality, so I need to get Wild East Productions' version).

Another quality film directed by Corbucci. Joseph Cotten is good as a bitter former Confederate soldier.

Very good, emotionally-charged film by goremeister Lucio Fulci. Tomas Milian is great as a sadistic S.O.B. named Chaco. *

Rick Lai's story 'The Last Vendetta' has appearances by several pre-existing fictional characters, including quite a few from Eurowesterns. *

Effective flick with an ax-wielding hero. The main villain's accent is inconsistent, though.

Nicely-done book covering 20 films the author considers particularly noteworthy. Nice array of pictures.

Really good film co-written by Dario Argento, of all people. Odd though that the villain has a Spanish name but is played by a Japanese actor (Tatsuya Nakadai, star of the even better samurai film SWORD OF DOOM). *

I just got this recently, and loved it. Brutal and bizarre. Note: as my comment for "Django Strikes Again" indirectly states, this film has nothing to do with the real Django. Who cares, though? It's still excellent.
