![]() | Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars by Fatboy Slim
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $0.22 In my opinion this is the most underrated album ever to be released. Fatboy Slim is criticized for this album since he changed his style to include more guest vocalists and turned away from the style of his second album, but I would say that not only is this Fatboy Slim's best but it is the best electronica album in existence today.
![]() | Palookaville by Fatboy Slim
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $0.38 Just like "Halfway Between the Gutter and Stars", this CD is vastly underrated and deprived of the appreciation it deserves. The sampling is just as skillful and tremendously catchy as on his third album, and on this CD all of the songs are A+'s in my mind except for "North West Three". This album used to be my all-time favorite.

![]() | Better Living Through Chemistry by Fatboy Slim
Buy new: $15.98 / Used from: $0.12 A great debut that is especially masterful for its beats. Equal in goodness to "You've Come A Long Way, Baby".
![]() | You've Come a Long Way, Baby by Fatboy Slim
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $0.01 Equal to "Better Living Through Chemistry" in goodness, and host of basically all of Fatboy's successful hits. On here you can find the hits "Praise You" and "Rockafeller Skank": the track that introduced me to him.
![]() | Leftism by Leftfield
Buy used from: $1.65 Beats, samples, and sophisticated raps build a completely awesome sound. Very good and justifiably well-acclaimed.
![]() | Rhythm and Stealth by Leftfield
Buy used from: $1.48 This album is great for its sound effects and somewhat nice beats; it's a probably a bit more underrated than it needs to be since most people say Leftism is better.
![]() | Baby Monkey by Voodoo Child
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $0.75 This album has awesome beats and synthesizers on it, with oftentimes a strangely admirable simplicity and more of a lean towards a techno genre. Different in many ways from a typical Moby release, yet a great album.
![]() | Beaucoup Fish by Underworld
Buy used from: $0.72 Wow. This album has everything going right for it. It blends a number of soft mystic tracks with up-tempo tracks with awesome synthesizers and beats that just make you wanna shout "YES!" because you like them so much. By far my favorite Underworld CD, though I love their other non-synth pop releases too. My third favorite electronica album; a very solid attempt.
![]() | A Hundred Days Off by Underworld
Buy used from: $3.55 This album doesn't seem to be acclaimed as "Beaucoup Fish", "Dubnobasswithmyheadman", or "Second Toughest In the Infants", but I think it ought to be. I wasn't particularly stunned by it after my first listen, but on the second and third I began to be awed by its awesomeness. Beats and vocals are very catchy on this CD; Awesome release, their second best in my opinion.
![]() | Dubnobasswithmyheadman by Underworld
Buy used from: $2.99 My first impression was "only nine songs?", but upon listening to it it's obvious that the tracks are all very long and time-taken, long lengths are fitting for Underworld songs because they have so many awesome synthesizers and beats to fill in the length with that the songs are good for every second. I especially recommend "MMM Skyscraper I Love You" and "Pearl's Girl".
![]() | Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned by The Prodigy
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $0.01 Most people would disagree, but I would call this album the best of the Prodigy. It is a shame that the band apparently broke up at what I believe to be the peak of their music-making career.
![]() | Tweekend by The Crystal Method
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $2.49 Definitely my favorite Crystal Method CD; the other ones needed a few listens for me to like them but this one won me over immediately. Hard guitar, in-your-face vocals, and of course the sampled beats I always love to hear with electronica music are present and very approvable.
![]() | Legion of Boom by The Crystal Method
Buy used from: $3.49 Fairly good release, with the only hit from them that I've ever heard on the radio: "Born Too Slow". More electronic than vocal.
![]() | London
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $5.99 Great soundtrack; I don't own it yet but when I do it will be the only soundtrack in my collection since I don't usually like them.
![]() | Community Service by Crystal Method
Buy new: $17.98 / Used from: $2.96 Awesome DJ mix album of other guys' songs; beats Community Service 2 by a long shot. This CD is very clever for how it mixes the tracks, especially how it transitions from track to track. I like it more with every listen.
![]() | Play by Moby
Buy used from: $0.01 Great CD that deserves every ounce of its acclaim, has most of his hits and combines string synth with cool samples.
![]() | 18 by Moby
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $2.70 Very similar to Play, though regrettably it seemed to not get quite as much respect even though I'd say it's just as good more or less. Has perhaps my favorite Moby song: In this World.
![]() | Hotel by Moby
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $2.43 This CD is very, very underrated. It uses a style different than most of his work I will admit, but I love the style of Hotel just as much (guitar, a lot of singing from Moby, and some techonoish stuff).
![]() | 18 B Sides (w/ Bonus DVD) by Moby
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $4.29 This CD is crazily good; in my opinion it's better than 18 even! Moby's B-sides are always of the highest quality, even the remixes, which is why this CD has managed to be so amazing. "Landing", "Downhill", "Soul to Love", and "Horse and Carrot" are probably among my top ten favorite Moby songs; these B-sides are practically better than the A-sides!
![]() | I Like to Score by Moby
Buy used from: $0.17 Took me a few listens, but now I find it very respectable. Although some of the songs appear to be ones that have already been on his self-titled debut, the renditions are entirely different and just as interesting to listen to as the debut versions. Many of the songs aren't even from the debut, such as the cool James Bond Theme and Novio; both outstanding tracks. Moby scored with this one.
![]() | Ambient by Moby
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $2.67 Very nice and mystic, and mystic is good. Mystic beats and synthesizers are the main focus of the album, with a few songs having piano also such as the great song "J. Breas". Some aren't really ambient in style such as "Sound", but it doesn't really matter because they rock anyway. Great CD.
![]() | Moby by Moby
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $2.21 Phenomenal techno debut; to date it's the only techno album I've been able to find with such cool up-tempo beats and electronic noises.
![]() | Early Underground by Moby
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $0.99 Hard to find in stores, but worth the search by all means. This CD has a lot more simple, often up-beat underground sense as the title informs you, which can be catchy but likely won't be liked by moderate Moby fans. Being a gigantic Moby fan, I of course loved this CD. "Party Time" is one of my favorites on here.
![]() | Push the Button by The Chemical Brothers
Buy new: $11.94 / Used from: $1.99 A stupendous CD with a lot of guest artists like Fatboy Slim, sadly a factor which is again not very appreciated. In my opinion this style should have got just as much respect as the style of "Dig Your Own Hole", for I tend to favor it. This CD has awesome samples and sound effects, with the best songs being "Hold Tight London" and "Believe". "Galvanize", from the beer commercial, also is great.
![]() | Surrender by The Chemical Brothers
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $0.01 Uses many Daft Punk-style bass beats in the background. Great, yet seems not fully appreciated and should be just as well-rated as Dig Your Own Hole.
![]() | Come with Us by The Chemical Brothers
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $0.66 I find it a bummer that Exit Planet Dust and Dig Your Own Hole are so respected when the Brothers' third, fourth, and fifth releases got little acclaim. "Come With Us" has a lot of really catchy samples and techno-oriented beats such as in "It Began In Afrika".
![]() | Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $0.66 Ah, yes: the album that earned them the most fame with "Block-Rockin' Beats". It's obvious why critics praised this CD, because with hits like "Block-Rockin' Beats' representing it there could only be a positive reaction. B-R Beats is one of their best songs for its awesome sound effects and some of the best beats I've ever heard a song use; the beats will literally rock your block.
![]() | Homework by Daft Punk
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $2.47 A simple, experimental debut that for reasons unknown never ceases to blow me away. Computerized voices, basic yet catchy beats, and awesome electronic and techno bass combine to create an awesome album. Definitely the band's best, and the most respected. "Around the World" is perhaps the catchiest song I know, and it has a great video too from Michel Gondry. My third favorite electronica CD.
![]() | Human After All by Daft Punk
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.96 Um...UNDERRATED! The style of this album is awesome, I can't believe it would be so passively ignored; it sounds like Kraftwerk blended with guitar and beats. This contains the awesome hit "Robot Rock", as well as the nice track "Human After All". The critics were wrongo on this one.
![]() | Discovery by Daft Punk
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $5.47 This album did pretty well, I believe; it's my least favorite Daft Punk CD but nonetheless awesome. This CD leans more towards a pop genre than "Homework" did, and uses computerized voices as well as some samples, beats, and synthesizer that make it quite good. The best songs I believe are "Aerodynamic" and "Harder Better Faster Stronger".
![]() | Facts and Fictions by Asian Dub Foundation
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $0.78 This CD in my opinion beats "Rafi's Revenge" by a long shot; "Rafi's Revenge" is just fine but this CD is nothing short of phenomenal. The singer does a bit of a rappish style on here that sometimes even sounds like Zach from Rage Against the Machine, yet overtop of samples and beats that are top-notch. The bands' skills shine for all to see with this release.
![]() | International Times by TransGlobal Underground
Buy used from: $0.64 Wow! The hard core beats, the samples, the everything! This is the sound of a five star CD: International Times by Transglobal Underground. Their style is relatively unique; they blend tribal sorts of chants and things with beats that are always very clever and sound so awesome. Words cannot describe how great this CD. I was blown away, had no idea I should be expecting so much from the band.
![]() | Kish Kash by Basement Jaxx
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $1.45 The Jaxx aren't like your typical sampling electronica band; they know just how to make beats that maintain cleverness and danceability, often with guest artists. This CD has the phenomenal tracks "Plug It In" and "Right Here's the Spot". Every song on here simply amazes me with how catchy it is, and all in all the album is probably the band's best.
![]() | Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $1.83 Gross cover, but a great debut that likely is the second best Jaxx album. Vey sophisticated beatwise and with lyrics, nice sound that has the makings of a well-acclaimed album.
![]() | Rooty by Basement Jaxx
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $1.25 This CD contains the only prominent Jaxx hit I am aware of: "Where's Your Head At". Catchy beats and the Jaxx have great samples on here.
![]() | Live on Brighton Beach by Fatboy Slim
Buy used from: $1.19 Much better than one might expect; I found this CD nothing short of amazing actually. He chooses great songs to mix live, and his renditions of the beats and such are of course incredible as ever. A very good CD, perhaps even better than his first 2 albums.
![]() | Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) by Groove Armada
Buy used from: $1.99 Oo, technoish. The band's use of fast beats and electronic noises instead of the predominantly jazz-oriented samples of "Vertigo" is a good move. I'd consider this CD to be their best.
![]() | Vertigo by Groove Armada
Buy used from: $0.91 Nice CD with similarities to Massive Attack in its percussion samples, a lot of saxophone samples and songs with the style of Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) such as "I See You Baby" make this CD great. The remix of "I See You Baby" obviously is my favorite track on here, because Fatboy Slim does it and he's my favorite musical artist.
![]() | Demon Days by Gorillaz
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $2.89 A superb second album, and I especially like Gorillaz because they have Damon Albarn from Blur, which used to be my favorite band. There's a lot of variety on here, from jazzish songs to rap tracks like the hit "Feel Good Inc." as well as the song "November Has Come". Full of sweet tracks; I especially like "Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head" with vocal contributions from Dennis Hopper.
![]() | Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.27 One of the first CD's I ever got, yet still one of my favorites. "Clint Eastwood" is a timeless classic that will always be among my top 100 favorite songs. "Left Hand Suzuki Method" is also a humorous track with strange samples that's definitely among my favorite Gorillaz songs.
