![]() | Danger: Diabolik
Buy used from: $21.99 A fun and teriffic 'anti-hero' thriller and a major nod to the spy films of the 60s. Some amazing visual sequences. It's considered to be one of the best comic book adaptations. ![]() | The Bava Box Set, Vol. 2
Buy new: $40.49 / Used from: $18.99 This covers many of Bava's late 60s through 70s films. "Four Times That Night" is a surprisingly good sex comedy. "5 Dolls" is also quite good. "Bay of Blood" was a groundbreaker in the slasher horror genere, as well as very immitated. "Baron Blood" is Bava back in form with a gothic horror film.

![]() | Hercules in the Haunted World
Buy used from: $31.95 This was Bava's follow-up after "Black Sunday", while it appears he was a hired gun for these producers, having photographed the previous Hercules pictures, Bava manages to deliver a fun picture that would be a good introduction for a new fan. The underworld sequences are visually amazing, demonstrates his great mastery of color and his understanding of how to use the widescreen format.

![]() | Lisa And The Devil; With The House Of Exorcism [DVD]
Buy used from: $11.99 As mentioned before, "Lisa and the Devil" is Bava's great final statement, strange, surreal, disturbing but a film you might go back to several times over. Please ignore the Alternative cut known as "House of Exorcism", the reshoots didn't do this film any justice.
|
![]() | Kidnapped
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $2.67 Bava's second final great statement is a film so unlike his previous work, gritty, raw, and dark. A Euro-crime thriller that fits the tradtion of Tarrantino's work.
