Aliens is actually better than Alien, a rare case for a sequel, but they are both fantastic films that should be tops for any sci-fi lover. Alien 3 has its moments and the 4th is just a silly, but fun ride.

Ground-breaking and suspenseful, this is easily one of the best sci-fi films out there. A great classic that people will surely be watching in years to come.

An awesome film with cool special effects and interesting characters.

An exciting and heart-pounding movie all around, Transformers has set the bar for effects and for entertaining sci-fi in general. Great performances, a suspenseful plot all help to make this one of the great sci-fi films out there.

Creepy, dramatic and down right disgusting towards the end, especially when things start falling apart-literally. Jeff Goldblum does a fantastic and heart-breaking job. A great Sci-fi!

Actually my second fave M. Night film. He really knows how to create an eerie atmosphere and interesting characters. Pretty suspenseful and while I didn't love the ending, I didn't mind it either.

Chilling premise and weird characters really make this a standout of a film. You have to love Brad Pitt's cooky performance and the inevitable ending.

Set in futuristic London, where so much is forbidden and the ultimate penalty is death, V for Vendetta is unlike any other comic book sci-fi's. It is brilliant in its intelligence and the main character V, played perfectly by Hugo Weaving is central and important to the plot. A wonderful film with a deeper message.

This movie works so well and flawlessly because of Robert Downey Jr's pitch perfect performance. He's an extremely likeable character, even though he comes off as an arrogant and snobbish playboy. The actual plot is OK, not great, but it's still fun to watch.

Tom Cruise rocks in this. He owns this movie from beginning to end, making Minority Report a thrill to watch. A great cast and awesome special effects just add to the film.

Not even that great, but for some reason I really like this film. It's compiled of great actors and cool special effects and shrouded in mystery. It gets a bit convoluted in the end there but still a great ride.
