The entire trilogy is unbeatable in my opinion. Peter Jackson reinvented the fantasy genre and he had great material to work with. The extended editions are a must-the additional scenes are flawlessly inserted and flow perfectly. An utterly brilliant piece of work in every sense.

This should come as no surprise. I can't really think of anyone who doesn't like Harry Potter, whether it's the books or films. Harry Potter has witches and wizards and trolls and dragons and just about everything else you could ever ask for in a fantasy film.

Cheesy but spectacular too, Clash is one of my personal favorites. The effects are completely outdated and almost laughable nowadays, but it doesn't matter! It's just a great campy mythological film that really has no equal since there aren't many films out there dealing with mythology.

A stunningly visual film; dark, dreary and beautiful. ALOT of subtitles to read but so worth it. The effects and characters are so good they border on creepy. Along with the haunting musical score and the great acting, there is a darkness to this film that most fantasy films don't have-In fact it's pretty darn depressing.

Tim Burton created this masterpiece years ago and it still remains a favorite among many. Brilliant voice-work and insane animation easlily makes this one of the best fantasy films ever.

A joy to watch. It's very cute and you can't help but smile whenever Amy Ryans is on screen. The real surprise here though is James Marsden. Hilarious.

A childhood classic. I've seen it a million times and it never gets old. I love all the different locations and characters that make up the film.

This is a pretty depressing film all around. It really is. But it is also a visually beautiful movie about a man going through many journeys to try to reach the one he loves. It is genuinely heart-breaking.

Not much left to say about this classic that hasn't already been said.

A devilishly wonderful tale of a boy, his grandmother, and the Grand High Witch. Angelica Huston is superb in this. The Witches is fun and never boring or bland. An all-around great fantasy.
