The new 2008 BBC adaptation is a more fleshed out version of the classic novel. It's got all the scenes from the book you loved in the Ang Lee film, plus all the scenes and characters in the book that were missing from that film, like Anne Steele.

Timothy Dalton brings Rochester to life, and Zelah Clarke plays the mostly reserved but outspoken "plain Jane" to perfection. Visually, more like a filmed stage presentation than big budget movie, this version is the most true to Bronte's novel, presenting just about every scene from the novel and dialogue word for word.
