![]() | Moving Pictures by Rush
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.68 Rush's best album, there's not a bad song on the album (or disc). Limelight is probably my favorite song of all time. The MFSL version of this disc is a fantastic, audiophile-quality production!

![]() | It Just Happens That Way by Mindi Abair
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $2.93 I first read about Mindi Abair on a speaker manufacturer website, norh.com, which told of her thanking US troops at the Bangkok Music Festival. I was so impressed with that I bought the two albums that were out at that time. Of the three I have, this is Mindi's best effort, in my opinion. This CD is "As Good as it Gets"!

![]() | Whatever Comes First by Sons of the Desert
Buy used from: $0.01 Another rock-solid album. I'm not a fan of all the songs on here, but I can appreciate each for what it brings to the table. "When It's Right" is a nice, simple little jingle that should've been a single. The recording has a few weaknesses in terms of mastering quality, but it's only apparent on very high-end stereo gear.

![]() | Escape by Journey
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $3.98 What a great album! If I were ranking all non-greatest hits album this would be top-5 for sure.
|
![]() | Vital Signs by Survivor
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $4.90 I can define a summer in high school by this album. Solid collection of songs by an icon of the '80's.

![]() | The Definitive Collection by Lionel Richie
Buy new: $10.97 / Used from: $5.76 An audiophile recording with a great collection of tunes! I can sit back with a nice glass of wine and time travel back about 25 years.

![]() | 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Chuck Mangione by Chuck Mangione
Buy used from: $1.98 Nice cleaned-up version of "The Children of Sanchez (Overture)" makes this a must-have for any serious jazz lover. Every track is strong, and the live version of "Hill Where the Lord Hides" sizzles. I also like the re-mastering on this disc.

![]() | Lara Fabian by Lara Fabian
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $0.01 I first heard Lara Fabian on a radio station in Montreal back in 2001, and bought the CD. There are several amazing tracks on here, and her ability to convey emotion both through her voice and the background arrangements is phenomenal. Popular in Europe for years, she is now a bona-fide international superstar. Well-deserved, but I wish her music was easier (read: cheaper) to get in the US.
|
![]() | Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $3.39 I'm a little too young to have been in to music when this album came out, but the group's strong showing even in to the '80's sold me on their music. A solid effort, and their best album in my opinion.
|
![]() | Xanadu
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $6.98 I once read a review of this record that said when "Xanadu" came out everyone felt the same way about it: loved the music, hated the movie. I was pretty young when the movie came out, and actually liked it.
The CD is awesome. I've heard some great soundtracks over the last few years, but this one remains #1 on my list of soundtracks.
|
![]() | Michael Card - Joy in the Journey: 10 Years of Greatest Hits by Michael Card
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $1.63 Michael Card has one of the most beautiful male voices I've heard, and his music really hits home. His staying power has been unmatched in christian music, and that's a blessing to his fans.
|
![]() | Ultimate Manilow by Barry Manilow
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $2.58 Cheesy, but it belongs in any collection of "classic" popular music. Well-mastered, this disc sounds as good as the Lionel Richie disc.
|
![]() | Christmas Eve and Other Stories by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.98 If "Chrismas Eve Sarajevo - 12/24" were the only decent song on here this would make my top-20 list. But this disc has several very nice tracks pulled together in a coherent, themed production.
