Atmospheric and satisfying. a more complete view of the fairy world as I was told about them as a child. These fairies are NOT human. They are apart alien but beautiful and worthy of respect and awe.

Flambards DividedFlambards Divided by K.M. Peyton

FINALLY Christina comes to her senses and gets together with Mark. This was the first series I read where the protagonist (like Harry Potter) grows up. and, like HP, Christina and Mark are as appealing as adults (even divorced, widowed confused adults) as they were as children.

A cozy the children go to the relatives house because Mom and Dad must go away and while they are in the neat old house they find a treasure books. One of the best of this sort (and I am inclined to like them all).

I know this seems like a long book, but I first read it about the time of these others (really). I still especially like the opening chapters about Ash's background and parents.
Rumpole's ReturnRumpole's Return by John Mortimer

I enjoyed all of the Rumpole books, but RR is even better than most because it is longer and a bit more fleshed out.
