In my opinion the image of Tony Leung in this film, even as an ending shot, is the beginning of one of the most beautiful relationships between a director and actor on screen.

Easily one of my top five movies of all time. Brigit Lin, Tony Leung, Faye Wong and Takeshi Kaneshiro, Valerie Chow. It is a story told in two parts, the first half is primarily about Brigit Lin's character and Takeshi Kaneshiro and the second is about Tony Leung's character and Faye Wong's.

Take that Leo! While I love Scorcese for bringing this film to American audiences in his version "The Departed", I feel the HK version is the better one. Tony Leung and Andy Lau are together again and make a great combo.

Tony Leung as Broken Sword, together again with Maggie Cheung. I love how Maggie and Leung continue to do dramatic roles together they feed off of each other creatively in ways that other actors cannot.

I could write a book about how amazing this film is. It is a treat for the eyes and emotions. Two people are bonded over the affair their spouses are having together. It is also about Hong Kong in the 1960s which is just one of my favorite time periods of all.

so this is a bad movie, in terms of plot and story development, yet it is one of those films you can watch for a great laugh and is almost like a human video game. Tony Leung plays a brooding neutral character with whom Chow Yun Fat bonds.

Yes another Wong Kar Wai film makes the list. I really love Wong's use of Tony in that he really knows how to utilize his physicality as well as his dramatic persona. I think that this is a very underrated film.

I dont' hate this film, I actually like it I just odn't like it as much as Tony Leung's other flicks. I know what Ang Lee was trying to do here, but I think it falls short a bit in terms of narrative. Regardless, it is nice seeing Leung trying to break the mold of nice guy wiht this role. I love how he constantly reinvents himself.

Another breathtaking film by Wong Kar Wai. He is truly one of the best directors out there. Tony Leung plays Chow a man who becomes involved with several women. There is an alternative unverise through which the room 2046 has a part in. It is like In the Mood for Love and Blade Runner got married and had a child. And 2046 is the frustrated pre-teen. Regardless, he is amazing in this film :)
