An amazing film, wildly underrated: Joseph Losey had co-directed (with Brecht) the original U.S. production of Brecht's great play. Forty years later, after Brecht himself had died and Losey had been blacklisted and forced abroad to work in England, Losey "returned" to the U.S. in this production for American television.
