A wonderful OVA series on 2 DVDs with a total of 5.4 hours of excellent anime for your money. This is an anime that is in a high fantasy setting complete with elves, dragons, and scores of villians all competing in a power struggle which is poised to subjugate or destroy the entire land of Lodoss with only a small motley band of warriors standing in their way this anime is a true journey.

"Steamboy" is much newer than the rest of the films on my list and stands out as being of such artistic value that on pure visuals it blows away scores of other anime productions in the pursuit of the art form. New, inspiring, and demonstrating the most effective use of computers in anime that I have seen yet it is a very fun film.

An anime in a modern city setting Perfect Blue is a story very much involved in the psychological state of the main character. This movie messes with your mind a bit. Great ending!

I could use to re-watch this film also. I remember that the story line was interesting and the film featured some real places in Japan such as Tokyo Tower which added to the film's modern day setting. Featuring a villain that is very reminiscent of the villian from Iria, creepy..

A very novel story about an elderly man in a mechanical medical be that gains sentience and begins doing everything it has to to get the elderly man it takes care of to the beach where the old man believes he'll meet his wife who has passed on already. A cute story I remember enjoying it considerably.

A classic good vs. evil battle between a cyborg and an army of robots, its just fun action in my book and has awesome animations in the fight scenes. I like the accessibility of the story.
