The very first time I listened to this CD I thought I might have been losing my mind. Shpongle does things with sound that I couldn't even conceive being possible before hearing it myself. Tales of the Inexpressible truly is an auditory journey - probably the closest thing to a hallucinogenic experience without actually taking any drugs.

Sigur Ros took longer to grow on me than any other band I've listened to - At first I was left a little confused and lost in their music but then, after quite some time of listening to certain songs, it all started coming together to form perfection. I can't even understand their mostly Icelandic lyrics and I still feel every single emotion they express through their instruments.

I grew up listening to this album and I have no intention on stopping. Girl from the North Country might be one of my all time favorite tracks. A for sure essential for any fan of folk music.

I don't know what it is about Boards of Canada that I love so much. It just seems to put me in a certain state of mind that allows me to forget about the world.

Considered by many to be their true masterpiece. This is the album that got me into Sigur Rós and it might very well be my favorite of theirs. Though it's not really comparable to anything I've heard, at first listen it reminded me very faintly of Pink Floyd. A true innovative masterpiece.

Right up there with 10,000 Days. Incredible lyrics with an incredible sound.

The original jam band - Grateful Dead's top studio album in my opinion. With a dad from Haight-Ashbury who had the chance to live and jam with Grateful Dead in 1967, I've almost religiously been listening to Grateful dead for my entire life. One of the top live bands ever.

Some of the best post rock out there in my opinion. Do Make Say Think are a little less known but that doesn't take away from their captivating sound.

Another Icelandic group here to conjure up another work of art. I thought it to be a little weird at first but, like Sigur Rós, it wasn't too long before this album joined my list of the bests. I've visited Iceland once and I believe if Iceland were a sound, this would be it... not even quite sure why.

Santana at their best. This is quite possibly my favorite recorded live performance ever... the man speaks with his guitar.

Their first and most natural sounding album if that makes sense. As always with Shpongle, a journey not to be missed.

Another Dylan essential. One of his best and one of my favorites.

Another work of audible art by Sigur Rós. A little more serene and beautiful sounding than their other albums. Definitely another must have.

Yet another incredible piece of work from Simon Posford along side Benji Vaughn.

I used to think Sines and Singularities was Bluetech's worst but it quickly grew on me. Easily his most refined piece under his Bluetech alias.

My friend turned me onto this album and I haven't looked back since. Some of the best guitar work I've heard.

UK garage at its best. Original Pirate Material is one of the best electronic albums ever recorded, period.

Some of the best breakcore and breakbeat around. Not for the faint of heart.

Converting Vegetarians left me in complete shock the first listen through. Another group who creates a sound unlike any other.

It's very tough to choose my top Zeppelin albums and I think I got it narrowed down to the two I put on this list. Both are amazing.
