	Antarctica [VHS] Buy used from: $17.34 A masterpiece. Rare Japanese film about stranded sled dogs. Disney's recent(and decent)remake Eight Below doesn't remotely compare in quality. Gorgeous music and cinematography, but pass the Kleenex!!!
	Jules and Jim - Criterion Collection Buy new: $34.49 / Used from: $22.50 My favorite Truffaut film. About friendship and a romantic triangle. I've never been able to find the music theme.
	A Man and a Woman Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $5.29 Makes my list of GREAT SCREEN ROMANCES FOR THE TIME CAPSULE. Awash in rain, tears and its musical theme. Not sure how well it stands up to repeat viewing. Pretty simple.
	Deja Vu Buy used from: $11.69 Best film, I thought, of 1997(weak year). NOT 2006 Denzel Washington thriller with same title. Don't usually like far-fetched time-travel romance but this is deeper than most.Directed by Henry Jaglom.
	Swept Away (Digitally Remastered Edition) Buy new: $22.49 / Used from: $9.95 The sexes and sexual politics. Full title 'Swept Away By An Unusual Destiny In The Blue Sea Of August'. In Charades I gave that title to another team along with Kristofferson's LOVING HER WAS EASIER THAN ANYTHING I'LL EVER DO AGAIN. Aren't I nasty???
	My Night at Maud's Buy used from: $47.00 Interesting dialogue and a charming movie.
	Small Change (L'argent de poche) Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $8.24 Another Truffaut film, largely about childhood.
	Children of Paradise - Criterion Collection Buy new: $32.49 / Used from: $23.95 1943 classic. Teems with energy, life and spirit. In France, this film has the status, rep and affection that 'Gone With The Wind' has in America.
	The Mother and the Whore [VHS] Buy used from: $29.95 Fairly affecting drama.
	Alphaville - Criterion Collection Buy new: $25.49 / Used from: $12.00 The only Godard film I liked somewhat. Futuristic allegorical gangster movie. In university I wrote an essay ripping this fave director of my prof Joe Medjuck(now a Hollywood producer). To Joe's credit, he gave me an A anyway.
	Chocolat (Miramax Collector's Series) Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.40 I didn't agree with SOME of its perspective, but it was more interesting than most foreign films.
	The 400 Blows - Criterion Collection Buy new: $21.99 / Used from: $14.00 Another Truffaut film about childhood. Other Truffaut: Two English Girls, Entre Nous, Shoot The Piano Player, Stolen Kisses, The Wild Child, The Story Of Adele H.
