Simply perfect. This film explores the history of the Norse in order to help people understand that the "Vikings" were not just pagan barbarians, but a highly developed society.

A very interesting look at the "Vinland Map" and whether or not it is a hoax. Regardless, the Norse did arrive in North America but this is an interesting part of that puzzle.

"Viking" is actually a term describing their attacks, not a term for the people themself.

PROOF!!! The site at L'anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada finally placed the "Vikings" in North America, and before Columbus. The Norse came to N.A. before any other Europeans (unless you want to get in to ancient history, which I would be glad to discuss, as folks from modern-day Europe to the Middle East were visiting long before the Norse, probably as far back as 500 B.C.).

Love it or not, this is Norse tradition. Personally, I do not care for this; the story is great, the writing a little too much for me to digest (just being honest).

This story moves a bit away from the Dane/Saxon war, but still gives vivid historically accurate accounts of life in the 9th century.

A wonderful retelling of the Beowulf tale from the viewpoint of a Muslim traveler to the mysterious Northland of the Norse. Much more digestable than Beowulf.
