Cop & convict, Nick Nolte & Eddie Murphy, team up to find a killer. Their rude & sarcastic interplay is hilarious & sets a benchmark for action flicks. Murphy’s scene in the redneck bar is classic. A+

Danny Glover plays a nearly-retired detective who gets crazed Mel Gibson as a partner. The action is nonstop, and Gibson’s reckless indifference to danger is as funny as it is thrilling. A

This sequel with Joe Pesci is actually funnier than the original and the action is just as electrifying. It would have ranked higher but for some too obvious moralizing. A

A blend of horror, adventure and comedy, Kevin Bacon & Fred Ward attempt to fight off giant burrowing worms which attack a remote town. Great one-liners, continuous thrills. A

Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon play musicians who dress up as women to go on the lam with a girls’ band. Hiding as women causes unusual problems, one of which is Marilyn Monroe. A classic. A

A charming opportunist, Paul Newman, & an ultra slick gunslinger, Robert Redford, rob trains and are chased to Bolivia. The chemistry is real and funny, the script replete with classic lines. A-

Arnold Schwarzenegger & Danny DeVito play fraternal twins separated at birth! Preposterous…but Arnold as a naïve prodigy and DeVito as a cheesy schemer, obviously enjoy each other. A-

Samuel Jackson unintentionally teams up with Bruce Willis to stop some NYC bombers. Violent, implausible, yet so highly charged it is thoroughly entertaining. Willis & Jackson are great together. A-

Close friends Thelma (Geena Davis) & Louise (Susan Sarandon) hit the road to have an escapist adventure. The trip is liberating until Louise kills a menacing rapist. Classic road movie. B+

Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson crash weddings to seduce women, but become sexually and romantically entangled with the bridesmaids at one politician’s lavish affair. B+

A naïve cowboy (Jon Voight) comes to NYC to hustle women and befriends a sickly vagrant (Dustin Hoffman). Gritty story of how friendship can transcend disappointment. Slightly dated, so… B+

Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones are agents who confront aliens on earth to save the world. Thin plot, but Smith as the rookie is so funny, the aliens so imaginatively created, you’ll like it. B

A seasoned bank robber (Clint Eastwood) is revitalized by a young and rash rookie (Jeff Bridges) into robbing another bank. Eastwood is good as a stumbling mentor. Bridges steals the movie. B+
