Snappy dialog, alluring characters and interesting mysteries. This show is so much better than most of what's on the air, if for no other reason than style.

This one starts with the end of the world. It was thought of as the new "X-Files" but it ran only 10 episodes. If you haven't seen it, get ready for a ride! Science Fiction for people who don't always like science fiction, and for those who love it too!

This one had everything. Heart, action a Scooby-gang and, oh yeah, God was a regular character. Not the "Hellfire and Brimstone" God, but one who had things we all need to hear to say. It didn't preach, but it sure had something to say. You should give it a listen.

This show really built to a hell of a climax, and everyone who stuck with it would have loved to see where they would have gone from there. And as good as it was, they probably had something cool in mind. To bad the show couldn't keep its head above water. (Sorry)

We have all had that childhood feeling that, "I live in the weirdest place in the Universe." Well here it is for real. The Joe Dante series was a wonderful half hour of WTF comedy. There was a later Disney Channel attempt but it was just too vanilla to work. This is the real deal.

It was obviously aimed at Kids, but that was okay. It was an adventure show that showed that a knowledge of history was cool, and how many of them are there? They could certainly do something like this today, if anybody was creative enough.

This one was unlike anything we had seen before. A true homage to the Celtic England that so many of us adore. Celtic mysticism, Druidism, early Christianity, Roman Mythology and just the right amount of politics to keep everyone dishonest. Oh, and did I mention Heath Ledger?

This was one I was more than reticent about. Eliza Drusku had just come off of Buffy and Angel, the show just couldn't be that good. Then it was! Even when they added a bad guy from 90210 it got better, not worse. Hold your hat for that final Christmas Party episode!

There have been a lot of attempts to bring Comic Book Superheroes to the small screen, and for my money this was the best done. It had action, humor and, well, flash!

You want to talk creepy? This fable about a small southern town where the sheriff may be the devil himself will serve you up healthy helpings of creepy. And every bit of it is good! No series ever screamed so loud for a "tie up the plot lines" movie! "Someone's knocking at the door!"

A man runs a website about strange and paranormal phenomenon. Amidst weird circumstances he dies and his surfer brother takes over. What happens next is equal parts absolute adventure and surrealistic comedy.

Here was a case of a great show that was pre-empted out of existence. It was moved around until no one really knew when it was going to show up. We loved Ralph and the kids, the girlfriend and even the FBI guy. We just couldn't find them! "Hey mister, you take 3 steps and then you jump!" (Never lose the instruction book!)

Politics, War, Back Stabbing and Sex. A proud successor to the mantel of "I, Claudius." You will never hear the words "Rome wasn't built in a day," quite the same way ever again. See children, history can be fun!!

If you ever enjoyed "The X-Files" or any of the paranormal investigation series (or "flash light shows" as I like to call them) this is the father of them all. Darren McGavin created an at once annoying and lovable character that led up through 20 amazing adventures. It started with two of the top rated made for TV films ever, and kept getting better. No one will ever live up to that straw hat!

It has been awhile since somebody put an anthology show, specially a fantastic themed one, on a network. This one had its share of clunkers, but so did "The Twilight Zone." When this one worked, it was the best stuff that TV had to offer.

Many who are smitten with the new version were rarely born when this one was on the. What made the show was the mythology. That mythology that lives on in the new show. It's like the stories of the Greek Gods versus the Roman ones. Both have their own values, but the family resemblance is too strong to dismiss.

This one started out to be just the "Monster of the Week," but it ended up asking some important questions and dealing with some issues that couldn't be dealt with anywhere else at that time.

It is hard to tell people who weren't there what a phenomenon the movies were. Not quite as big as "Star Wars," they were on that level. There were conventions, magazines and comic books, so it only made sense that they would come to the small screen. BTW: The show was huge in the U.K.. Still better than the remake.

When there wasn't any other kind of western of TV, this one had the cajones to use the name of one of the great ones. It didn't always live up to it, but, given time, it might have.
