This is THE most essential film trilogy to ever exist. While not exactly a faithful representation of the book trilogy, these three films directed by Peter Jackson are essential works of art that could not have been done better by any other director.

While nowhere near as awesome as the original Star Wars trilogy, the Prequel trilogy is still quite excellent viewing.
