12/17/08 Okay, okay, so THE DARK KNIGHT is better than BATMAN '89. Every single person on earth should own this movie. Don't bother buying that pricey 2-disc special edition though; there's not much on that second disc. Stick with the single-disc widescreen edition for now.

Often overhyped and overrated, BATMAN BEGINS is nonetheless one of the best Batman movies to date. What it lacks in faith to the source material it more than makes up for in the area of tone. This is also easily the darkest Batman movie, with a dead-serious hero fighting dead-serious villians in a dead-serious city. It's a great movie, and definately belongs in any DVD or Batman collection.

BATMAN FOREVER is the glitziest Batman film, and some say is the best of the series so far. It more fun than RETURNS, lighter than BATMAN '89, and without too much of the sillyness of it's sequel, BATMAN & ROBIN. This one's worth adding to the collection.
