One of my fave John Cusack comedies, with a huge cast of screw-ups. A tribue to the weird family, the jocks vs geeks, and the goofy hero getting the (FRENCH!) girl. For the pop culture collectors, "I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!" Note the TRULY 80s fashion at the school dance - the singer is CLASSIC.

If you ask someone "What was the best 80s movie?" I guarantee you'll get this movie as your answer 9 time out of 10. This movie set the stage for The Brat Pack - and unfortunately, pigeonholed them for a long time. Cut away "The Real World" and you get this... the real world.

I consider this John Cusack's finest role AND The Best 80s love movie. John's flair for dialogue is never better than in this one. I'd buy this before "Pretty in Pink" or "The Breakfast Club."

The Ultimate Slacker. This is the person you hate because you want to BE him. Once again, if you want to be 80s, you have to own this movie.

Not a very familiar movie, but yet another one with people who become big names - Timothy Hutton, Tom Cruise, and Sean Penn. The death of the commandant sets off a series of events as the students try to save their school.

For the ladies!! Guys, take note - you can't watch "Better Off Dead" forever.

This is, really, the BEST Keanu Reeves role. I mean, c'mon. George Carlin as their time-traveling mentor? Napoleon set loose in a water park? Beethoven playing a piano in the mall? EXCELLENT!

I used to wonder if this would have happened to me. Does anybody recognize Vincent D'Onofrio as Vincent, or "Thor", the garage mechanic? Didn't think so.

I read "Cycle of the Werewolf" and I still loved this movie, especially with Gary Busey as the uncle. Another one of those little-known movies.

Yet another outstanding Eddie Murphy role. I think this movie is actually the start of his "leather suit" period.

A great action flick with great dynamics between Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy.

You need to see who else is in the movie - Nicholas Cage, Eric Stoltz and Forrest Whittaker before they were gold! Probably the first stereotypical surfin' stoner and, for all the guys, nothing beats the "red bikini" scene.

This movie put Kevin Bacon square in the middle of the screen.

High speed, adrenaline, hot men in (and out of) uniform and somebody's "lost that lovin' feelin'". Girls wanted to be Kelly McGinnis.

Before "Pretty Woman", there were six Southern belles.

The first of the Coen Brothers' string of excellent flicks. "TURN TO THE RIGHT!"

The best of the three! "The Butterfly Effect" only wishes it were this movie.

My favorite of the series - you scratch the surface of Riggs' pain and insanity then watch as Murtaugh evens it out. Fight scene w/ Busey ROCKS.
