Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $6.12 A film very relevant to the sixties. The 20-minute sequence of hippie Arlo's arrest is on my Listmania: Favorite Scenes From The Movies(though it does end in a sophomoric rant)....so we know where Sean gets it. Ending is melodrama.

Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $5.41 Explosive (though a bit heavy-handed)film set in a small southern town. Brando is an entertaining sheriff. Good cast including a young Robert Duvall, a very young Robert Redford, and a very hot Janice Rule!

Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $7.68 A 1969 western epic. It's been a while but I recall that I found many scenes too repeatedly cynical....it becomes a one-note samba. Still interesting though.

Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $7.88 Pretty routine fare for Penn. A conventional suspense movie/thriller, not particularly 'auteurish' for a director like Penn. But it's a reasonably good time if you like that kind of movie.
