This is an old card, but still worthwhile. However, I do not believe it is HDCP compliant. If that's an issue, consider this card optional as your Motherboard has on board sound. It is generally considered beneficial to offload the sound to a discrete sound card because it will sound better and your CPU can focus on other tasks.

Good solid performer with 18 macro keys which are extremely useful in games and MS Office! It is also illuminated and back-light. You can go for the flagship g19, but that's a $200 product. The G11 is highly durable (trust me on that) and provides excellent tactile feedback.

The MX518 is also another extremely popular and venerable mouse, but the G5 is a laser mouse and is a bit more sensitive and precise. I presently use the G7 this guy's cordless brother, but those run about $70 and are outside of our budget. Once you make the change to cordless mice, it's hard to go back since there's no resistance to your actions.
