OK, I know what you're saying. This is all about romance and girly stuff. But you would be WRONG! The movie, the musical, yes they are all about romance and girly stuff. The book however has almost none of this and what little there is doesn't change this from what it really is, a dark novel about torture and evil and a madman. This book is a classic for a reason, try it!

The first of three from Craig Johnson. This may not appeal to some folks because it's set in Wyoming, a mystical land that most Americans never have visited. These books, however, are intriguing mysteries with deep souls. You won't want to put this one down either way.

This is the most recent addition to the Amelia Peabody series and certainly not the least. I recommend you start with Crocodile on the Sandbank if you haven't read any of Ms. Peter's books. Based in the late 1800's and early 1900's Peter's walks her characters through decades of their lives as both egyptologist's and mystery solvers. Definite a must read!
