You're getting an extra film here - the 1931 version of the Maltese Falcon. The other films could have easily devolved into dated WW II epics, but Bogart's acting keeps you intrigued. A must have.

These are not the top-tier of Cagney films, but they all feature great Cagney performances in enjoyable movies. There are no commentary tracks on these films and no biographical material. Instead you get the Warner Night at the Movies treatment - vintage shorts, cartoons, and newsreels per film.

Contains 12 two-reelers made in 1916 & 1917 for the Mutual Film corporation on two discs plus a text intro to each short film. A third disc is the 1975 documentary "The Gentleman Tramp", which is a biography on Chaplin along with a discussion of his work. The fourth disc has a documentary on Eric Campbell, the large Scottish actor who was Chaplin's foil in the Mutual series of comedies.

This third collection of Davis' films has commentary tracks on four of the films plus a featurette on Davis' career. Also included is the typical Warner Night at the Movies treatment of cartoons, newsreels, and classic shorts.

All DVDs are packed with bonus features including vintage shorts and featurettes, cartoons, trailers and more. However, there are no commentary tracks and no biographical material on Doris Day herself.

How sad that, with the exception of some TV appearances and appearances as uncredited extras in films, this really IS the COMPLETE James Dean collection. Although you only get three films you get plenty of extra features and commentary tracks for the films. A must-have tribute to what might have been.

A second volume of Flynn pictures that are must haves. In case you're wondering, "Robin Hood" is already in the Warner Legends Collection. There is a commentary track on "Don Juan" and a featurette on "Dive Bomber". All other films get the standard Warner Night at the Movies treatment.

A good collection of Gable's work when he was at MGM and Warner's. Mogambo is actually a remake of the pre-code "Red Dust", which I would have preferred.

The disadvantages in this set is "The Wizard of Oz" is now in both two and three disk editions sold separately. This set has the old 1-disc edition. Also in 2008 an Andy Hardy boxed set will include "Love Finds Andy Hardy", making this a double-dip if you plan to own both sets.

Put out by Sony, and a pretty good collection of films plus extras. His Girl Friday has a commentary track and most of the other films have at least one featurette. This is the only way to get Holiday on DVD in Region 1.

It may have only three films, but you get an excellent bonus disc on Spencer Tracy's career.

This very good set by Kino has all of the films that still exist from Keaton's independent days as a filmmaker. Keaton Plus has a combination of shorts, commercials, home movies, and other extras from his time after MGM cancelled his contract. Essential for any fan.

If you have the Warner 18 Best Picture pack, you already have "An American In Paris". That's the only duplication. There is plenty of bonus material here including "Anatomy of a Dancer" and the bonus disc of material for Singin' in the Rain.

Definitely worth the money if you like silent film comedies. There is a bonus disc of featurettes, bios, and home movies. Also, there are commentary tracks on Lloyd's major silent features including "Safety Last", "The Freshman", "The Kid Brother", and "Speedy".

A collection of films that are more for the fan of their TV show. "Too Many Girls" is the film where they first met.
