Simultaneously funny and serious, perhaps a tad overdone, but I like Coburn and Andrews so this film makes my list.

Hands down my all-time favorite movie. An absolute must see. A crystal clear image of post-war America.

If you can keep from choking up at the end when Jack Lemmon reads that letter, you're a harder man than I am.

They say that this movie was chosen as the last to be seen in the theaters of Paris before the Nazis rolled in with their army of occupation. The film's message of good ultimately winning out over evil even against overwhelming odds may have been the reason.

Unusual, moody murder story set at Niagara Falls features attractive stars and even good old Don Wilson of Jack Benny fame. My parents took me to Niagara the same year this was filmed. Looks very familiar, but I never got to see a cabin cruiser go over the falls!

One of the most-filmed stories in history, Oliver Twist was given this electrifying treatment by David Lean in 1948. Stands head and shoulders above all other versions.

Hilarious spoof of nearly everything. James Coburn is terrific as a mild mannered psychoanalyst gradually turned into a machine gun wielding realist out to save the world from that most sinister of all world powers... TPC! "Take that, you hostile SOB!"

James Stewart and Grace Kelly pair up in a did he or didn't he do it murder mystery. Thelma Ritter, Wendell Corey, and Raymond Burr round out the memorable cast.

Filled with memorable characters, Stalag 17 is a comedy that can be enjoyed over and over.

Robert Newton and Bobby Driscoll make for a fine combination in this excellent Disney rendering of the famous story.
