Madeline Kahn died December 3, 1999. Ovarian cancer. Age: 57. Beloved comedianne, actress and excellent opera-like singer. She was ill during the 4th season of CBS, "Cosby" (1996-2000) and continued to work professionally until her death. Paper Moon (1973), Blazing Saddles (1974), Young Frankenstein (1974), High Anxiety (1977).

Jim Varney died February 10, 2000. Lung cancer. "Hey Vern!" Started making tv commercials as "Ernest" in 1980. Kentucky's Beech Bend raceway Park, Purity Dairy, Kroger. Also did Cerritos Auto Square commercials. Made 9 "Ernest" films. One unfinished.

Brady Michaels died Feb. 19, 2000. Preparing a stunt with a parachute for "I Dare You" tv series, slipped from a ladder. Age: 36. Also did stunt work in passenger 57, The Contact (1999), Bash (2003) as "Frank".

Nancy Merchand died July 18, 2000. Emphysema and lung cancer. Old footage, dialogue and CGI effects of her face were used to create her final scenes on "The Sopranos".

Raymond Laine died in November 2000. Cancer. Best known for his role in the film, There's Always vanilla (1971). Appeared in several films, but his career was being a school teacher.

Glenn Hughes died March 4, 2001. Lung cancer. The original Leatherman of The Village People disco singing group.

Aaliyah died August 25, 2001. Just finished a music video on location, boarded an overloaded plane and crashed. Note: The first film: Interview With a Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). The second film: Queen of the Damned (2002).

Gloria Foster died Sept. 29, 2001. Diabetes. The Matrix (1999), The Matrix: Reloaded (2003) as "The Oracle". mary Alice, whom she had worked with on Broadway, replaced her in Matrix: Revolutions (2003).

Dudley Moore died March 27, 2002. Pneumonia related to progressive supra-nuclear palsy. He was 5f2 1/2. Played classical piano. 10 (1979), Arthur (1981), Arthur 2: On the Rocks (1988).

Robert Urich died April 16, 2002. Cancer. Known for "Vega$" (1978-81), Spencer For Hire (1985-88), Love Boat: The Next Wave (1998-99) tv series'.

Small dwarf actor, Josh Ryan Evans died during heart surgery August 5, 2002. Age: 20. In a strange coincidence, his character "Timmy" also died on the NBC serial, "Passions" that same day as word sent out that Evans really did die that day. The taped episode was already scheduled for that very day.

Cliff Gorman died September 5, 2002 from Leukemia. Best remembered for his delightful role as "Emory" in the film, The Boys in the Band (1970).

Nell Carter was found dead by her adopted son the next morning of Jan. 23, 2003 from a heart attack brought on by complication of diabetes. Known for the "Gimme A Break" tv series and Broadway roles. "Ain't Misbehavin'"

Michael Jeter died March 30, 2003. AIDS. "Evening Shade" tv series. The Green Mile (1999).

John Ritter died September 11, 2003. Aorta Disection. Did not feel well on set of "8 Simple Rules..." and collapsed. Died in the same hospital he was born in. Known for "The Waltons" and "Three's Company" tv series'.

Jonathan Brandis died November 12, 2003. Suicide. Died from injuries after hanging himself the day before after having dinner with friends.Suffered depression. Age 27. Best known for his role in Seaquest DSV tv series. Alternate title for last film: A Fate Totally Worse Than Death.

Spaulding Gray, author and actor, missing since January 10, 2004. Body found March 8, 2004 in the East River of New York. Suicide.

Richard Biggs died May 22, 2004 from an Aortic tear. Age: 44. Known as "Marcus" on NBC's Days of Our Lives, "Dr. Stephen Franklin" on Babylon 5 tv series.

Laura Branigan died August 26, 2004 from a brain aneurysm. Best known for her songs, "Gloria", "Solitare", How Am I Suppose To Live Without You", "Self-Control", "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow".

David Bailey played "Alistar Crane" on NBC serial "Passions". His character was poisoned (to survive), but in real-life, he accidently drowned in swimming pool on Thanksgiving Day 2004.
