My favorite Cassavettes film, Gena Rowlands performance in this blew me away. I found myself completely absorbed in her character. I have a hard time discussing exactly what it is about this movie that I find relative to my own life, but there's something about it. There's something about her that's so lovely but so confused. Just great.

I usually try not to pick two movies from the sam director for my top 10, but Cassavettes always seems to be an exception to this rule.

OK! So not only was it Bogdanovich's first film, but it was also Boris Karloff's last major american film, and vastly over looked!!! A young man snaps, kills his family, then begins picking people off one by one with a sniper rifle. He finds himself at a drive-inn, where "Byron Orlock" (Karloff)and the director played by Bogdanovich) are making an appearance. Anyways...pure hijinks!Great ending!

great action movie. great chase scenes! Deserving of the hype.

This was a big one for me. First of all, the war genre has been relatively untapped in my life. It was also the first time I really noticed Lee Marvin, as well as many other great actors, like Telly Savalas. One of the best movies I've seen all year long and a real eye opener.

I generally avoid anything with Barbra Streisand, but decided to give this a chance because of Bogdonovich's direction. It made me understand why people used to like Striesand. She gave a very cute and funny performance. I stand corrected! ha!
