![]() | White Lace & Strange by Various Artists
Buy new: $16.97 / Used from: $9.49 Pretty much every song is an influence (as far as I know; I haven't asked them, i'm just guessing). Hard psych from the early 70's. I love this comp. The title track is my personal fave.

![]() | Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $5.55 Soooooooo good. A little underrated, but anyone who's into 60's psych/garage or early metal knows this one from 1968. It's not that underrated, it's kinda infamous....

![]() | Anthology by Bedlam
Buy new: $28.98 / Used from: $16.99 Don't know Bedlam well enough to figure out which album to include on this list, but def something a true Black Keys fan (someone who actually likes their music, not just the hipster idea of 2 dudes wailin') would like: early 70's blues metal, slightly phychadedelic, but really just hard rock.

![]() | The Very Best of Cream by Cream
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $2.70 What can i say? We all've heard Cream.
|
![]() | Introducing the Sonics by The Sonics
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $9.99 The Black Keys did an excellent cover of the already excellent "Have Love Will Travel". I saw them do it in Boston in 2008. Brilliantly simple garage rock from the mid-60's. Very influential on, not only The Black Keys, but The Ramones, Stooges, Pixies, MC5, Blue Cheer, Minor Threat, Flamin' Groovies, New York Dolls, Cars, Husker Du, ... Jesus, I don't know where to stop!
|
![]() | Howlin' Wolf/Moanin' in the Moonlight by Howlin' Wolf
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $5.48 Hard to decide which Howlin Wolf album to pick, but I guess it doesn't matter, as long as he's included on the list. His is some of the grittiest, rawest, toughest blues of all time. Huge (and obvious) influence on Tom Waits, as well..

![]() | Conair 124A 1600-Watt Mini Turbo Folding Hair Dryer
Buy new: $14.88 yeah, i just thought it would be funny to add an appliance to the list. I'm pretty sure the Conair 12AR 1600- Watt Mini Turbo Folding Hair Dryer by Conair was not a direct influence (although, it may have been; I don't know) on that many bands.
|
![]() | Kingdom Come/Sir Lord Baltimore by Sir Lord Baltimore
Buy used from: $58.60 Early 70's metal. Very bluesy. Very awesome........
|
