Live at the Texas Hall of FameLive at the Texas Hall of Fame by Aaron Watson
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $4.26
I don't even know where to begin with Aaron Watson. This guy can really Honkytonk, and if you need some steel guitar in you life he'll give it to you. By far some of the best Traditional Texas Country music I have ever heard, hands down. I believe that he does not have a bad album if your lookin' for something with a swing to it.
Live-Raw-Real, In the VilleLive-Raw-Real, In the Ville by Casey Donahew Band
Buy new: $18.99 / Used from: $41.52
Love them or hate them, they are straight out of the Ft. Worth Stockyards, and are one of my new personal favorites. With a little more rock vibe these guys can put on a show, and keep you singin' till 3am.
Goin' Down Swingin'Goin' Down Swingin' by Jackson Taylor Band
Jackson Taylor is a man with a story to tell, and you better listen up, because the words he writes are as true and straight forward as they come. The Grand Ole Opry may shun on artists like JTB but he is as real as they come, and that's why he resides in Texas not Nashville.
Try Not to ListenTry Not to Listen by Wade Bowen
Buy new: $12.98 / Used from: $6.07
There's not much to say about Wade Bowen & West 84, other than they bring you back to the roots of what real country music was founded on
Pearl SnapsPearl Snaps by Jason Boland & The Stragglers
Buy used from: $49.42
Pearl Snaps is one of many great albums from the Stragglers. If you have not had the pleasure of placing Jason Boland in your jukebox I would recommend that you start with this on
Trent WillmonTrent Willmon by Trent Willmon
Buy new: $7.98 / Used from: $1.90
Never heard of Trent Willmon? He is as West Texas as it gets, and his songs and voice can put you back in your seat. His self titled album (and also his first) has a great mixture of songs about life, drinkin' beer, reminiscing about home, and that girl that makes you take a second look.
No Justice/No JusticeNo Justice/No Justice by No Justice
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $7.63
No Justice, falls into the Red Dirt category with Rock riffs that give them a bit more edge to there sound. Excellent music that deserves a listen.
Randy Rogers BandRandy Rogers Band by The Randy Rogers Band
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $4.92
If you are new to The Randy Rogers Band, I would recommend starting with Rollercoaster, or Just A Matter Of Time, to grasp an understanding of what these guys are all about. Randy Rogers sings songs that you can relate to no matter what level you are on.
Dancehall DreamerDancehall Dreamer by Pat Green
Buy used from: $5.85
Pat Green didn't become famous in Nashville, he became famous in Texas. With 13 albums before he crossed over to the dark side, original Pat was as good at it gets. Dancehall Dreamer will give you a glance into what Pat Green was all about, before the Nashville lights.
Having Fun All WrongHaving Fun All Wrong by Roger Creager
Buy used from: $3.87
Having Fun All Wrong is impossible when your listing to this guy. This is Texas Country, no if and's or but's about it.
Wicked Twisted RoadWicked Twisted Road by Reckless Kelly
Buy new: $17.98 / Used from: $11.99
Reckless Kelly in my opinion is on of the originals. If you want to listen to a new age pioneer of Texas Country stick this in your CD player, you won't be disapointed.
Full Exposure Live (Bonus DVD)Full Exposure Live (Bonus DVD) by Cory Morrow
Buy new: $16.98 / Used from: $1.65
You could call him Pat Green's right hand man in the Texas Country Music scene, but the fact of the matter is, is that he has plenty to say himself. Full Exposure will give you a glimpse of an artist that I feel defiantly does not get enough exposure.
Beer, Bait and AmmoBeer, Bait and Ammo by Kevin Fowler
Buy used from: $44.33
Kevin Fowler knows a thing or two about singin' and songwriting for the people. Beer Bait & Ammo to the Lord Loves The Drinkin' Man, there are Honkytonk favorites plastered all over this album
