Great for learning the names of the animals and colors in spanish. If you add sound effects, your toddler will learn those as well.

Very cute and simple lift-the-flap book for kids under one.

I'm not sure of whether it is a cultural thing, but I was Dr. Seuss deprived as a child. As an adult, however, I am taken with these books. These three in particular have wonderful translations and have proved incredibly engaging to my daughter.

Another good Plaza Sesamo DVD. Lola travels to different places such as the desert, Niagra Falls, and Mexico. The adventures are geared toward teaching children about the different countries and regions as well as concepts such as "up and down," "hot and cold," "rain," etc. My only gripe is that it has very little music. Maybe a slightly too advanced for a 20 month old.

It is amazing how popular this series is. Whatever the receipe is, however, it works! Each DVD features and English, Spanish, and French track. The wonderful thing about these DVDs is that the audio track is not the only thing in multiple languages - When you choose the spanish audio track, for example, the whole DVD will be in spanish including the written words on the screen, the songs, etc.

Leap frog has a great series of bilingual toys that help your child develop basic skills in both languages. I give Leapfrog kuddos for designing their toys this way. Awesome.

Leap Frog has a spanish version of this toy which is terrific. I got it for my daughter before she was even a year old and she loved it and still does years later. I could not find it here on amazon, but try leapfrog.com

The Spanish translation of Click, Clac, Moo is excellent! Actually many of the books in the series are available in Spanish and every single one I've read is excellent (see below). They are funny and engaging.

It is only available in English, but the books are witty and attractive. The illustrations are colorful and grab a child's attention. The two main characters, Duck and Goose, are so cute that they are hard to resist.

Not the best in the series, but still cute.
