Id say this was just as good as Black Celebration but it didnt feature the hit Route 66. This is no dout Depeche Modes huge breakthrough with the legendary 101 tour to back it up. So many hits here. This is the band at thier darkest. Features so many hits 1987 was the best year for Depeche Mode.

This is when Depeche Mode was full on Depeche Mode. This is when they start to get dark. So many great hit here. Master and Servant being the best. Some Great Reward was their breakthrough in the states, the hit was People are People. There isnt a back tune here.

I love this album. In 1982 Vince Clarke left the band and the band stuggled between finding their own sound and still using a little bit of his. The boys seem to struggle between darkness and the fluffy pop of Vince Clarke. This is hands down still a really good album and it really speaks to the soul on some tracks. I tbeliev its a must have.

I liek to call this album Violater with a edge. This album has grunge influence, but like Violater besides the four singles it failed to grab my attention. This is the last great Depeche Mode album and the last you can hear of Alan Wilder.

In 2005 it seemed that Depeche Mode was climbing back up the hill they tumbled down with Exciter. This is a really good album and it sounds very fresh. It seemed that they really worked hard and were going to come back on top of the world this album is as good as Ultra...hell maybe even just a little better.

Crap......this album is horrible. What happened? They sounded great with Playing The Angel and now they do this!!! There are about 3 or decent songs on this album, but they arent good and Martin seems to have had writers block or something. The lyrics are very simple and not very meaningful. I felt kinda ripped off when I bought this. Im just hoping their next effort is better. Come on guy!!
