You can use a regular blender or a food processor, but this is what I have found to work best. It makes the food smoother than a regular blender and is a lot easier than pulling out your entire food processor and cleaning all of the pieces between foods.

I like a nice 9x13 baking dish - fits squash and sweet potatoes really well.

I actually use the non-stick reynold's aluminum foil but couldn't find it on amazon. I line the baking dish with this so I can cook one item, remove the foil and then cook another one right away without washing the pan.

I know people say making baby food is common sense, but I LOVE this book. I didn't know which foods to try and how to prepare them. This gives you new ideas and tells you how to cook them to preserve the nutrients. It talks about being organic, but I use the recipes on non-organic products.

You shouldn't make your own carrots - there is something in the carrots we eat that isn't safe for babies (nitrites...maybe...I don't remember).

I have had no luck making green beans (or peas) that my baby would eat - the consistency never comes out right. Save time and just concede this one - but it premade!
