American Psycho (Uncut Killer Collector's Edition)American Psycho (Uncut Killer Collector's Edition)
Buy new: $9.49 / Used from: $1.94
It really should have stuck with the comedy side of things, the thrown-in horror just doesn't balance and the whole thought of whether or not he actually did it makes no sense, and by the time you get to that point, who cares?
The Amityville HorrorThe Amityville Horror
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $0.04
Mega snooze fest. 5 minutes worth of stuff happens over the 2 hour run time, none of which is scary. Why anyone calls this a classic is beyond me.
Black Christmas (Special Edition)Black Christmas (Special Edition)
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $7.77
This hasn't become a classic until recent years, I seriously think the only reason people defend this film is to stop the era of remakes. The fact that this film has been remade doesn't make it a great movie, as a matter of fact, it's not even a good movie. Another snooze fest with nothing going on for 2 hours.
Carnival of SoulsCarnival of Souls
Buy used from: $0.78
There are some creeps here and there in this movie, but they have nothing to do with the story and they're not good enough to classify this as a horror movie.
Cursed (Unrated Version)Cursed (Unrated Version)
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $0.19
Yay, another teen horror film. The only credit I can give it is that it's really the first werewolf horror film since The Howling. They tried, but failed.
The Fog (Widescreen Unrated Edition)The Fog (Widescreen Unrated Edition)
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $0.01
Another really unwanted remake of an okay original.
Gothika (Widescreen Edition) (Snap Case)Gothika (Widescreen Edition) (Snap Case)
Buy used from: $0.01
Halle Berry's performance is the only thing that carries this film that can't make up it's mind on what type of horror film it wants to be. It isn't interesting and very little makes sense.
Halloween - The Curse of Michael MyersHalloween - The Curse of Michael Myers
Buy new: $9.49 / Used from: $4.74
Every franchise has a bad sequel, so I found the worst. No one needs to know why Michael does what he does. But if you're going to explain it, don't say he was a member of a demon-cult..... since the age of 6.
High Tension (Unrated Widescreen Edition)High Tension (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
Buy new: $12.49 / Used from: $1.98
I really thought the the first boring hour of this film was going to lead up to an amazing ending, and instead we get one of the most horrible cheat endings ever put on film. Simply bad film making.
Malevolence Special Edition Divimax SeriesMalevolence Special Edition Divimax Series
Buy used from: $0.94
It's the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" all over again, but with a smaller budget, bad film making, bad acting, and a really dumb killer.
Rest Stop (Unrated Edition)Rest Stop (Unrated Edition)
Buy new: $12.98 / Used from: $0.54
This was so great until the last 10 minutes. I was so built up and terrified by this film and couldn't wait to see how this was going to end, but the writer didn't know what to do next, so they stole the typical, but useless twist ending that's been slapped on most horror films the past few years.
Rosemary's BabyRosemary's Baby
Buy new: $8.49 / Used from: $2.00
This would've been better if they would've actually steered away from the book. The pace is way too fast (trying to squeeze in every detail from the book) to really give you the time to be scared.
Silent Night, Deadly NightSilent Night, Deadly Night
Buy used from: $38.99
If those parents had never protested the film back in 1984, then no one would've ever heard about this film. But because of the controversy, this has been misconstrued as a classic slasher film. In reality, this is simply a carbon copy of almost all of the slasher films that came before it, but those had better acting and better back-stories with a more interesting psycho.
