Still CrazyStill Crazy
Buy new: $9.95 / Used from: $2.13
This has to be my favorite rock movie of all.  Outrageous humor, great characters, and a touching story to boot.  Bill Nighy steals every scene he's in.
This Is Spinal Tap - Criterion CollectionThis Is Spinal Tap - Criterion Collection
Buy used from: $37.75
The classic rocku-shocku-mocku-documentary of a fictitious British metal band that reminds one a lot of  Zep, Uriah Heep, the Sweet, and other Anglo rockers.
The Beatles - Help!The Beatles - Help!
Buy used from: $16.65
If you like British humor and great music, this movie is a must.
I Wanna Hold Your HandI Wanna Hold Your Hand

Lovingly mocking tribute to the moptops' loyal fans that takes place Feb. 8 & 9 of 1964.
In Crowd, The (1988) [VHS]In Crowd, The (1988) [VHS]

A good romantic film about a rich boy who is obsessed with a girl on a dance show in the last days of the "innocent" 60s.
19691969
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $3.01
I like to watch this movie back to back with The In Crowd because it takes up where that one left off.  Revolution is in the air!
Grace of My HeartGrace of My Heart
Based loosely on the life of Carole King, the story of a songwriter and her journey to become a singer of her own songs as well.  Ileana Douglas is remarkable as Denise Waverly.
What's Love Got To Do With It?What's Love Got To Do With It?

Angela Bassett turns in an excellent performance as Tina Turner, a  true survivor in life and the music business.
Better Off DeadBetter Off Dead
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $5.99
Very fun John Cusack movie that's totally 80s.  I love everything about this weird movie, especially the great new wave soundtrack.
That Thing You Do!That Thing You Do!
Buy used from: $15.30
A funny and touching movie about a Pennsylvania band who scored big with only one hit in the mid-60s.
The Rutles - All You Need Is CashThe Rutles - All You Need Is Cash
Buy new: $14.49 / Used from: $10.23
Excellent Monty Python/Saturday Night Live spoof of the Beatles' career.  Even George Harrison gets in on the act.
Bye Bye BirdieBye Bye Birdie
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $6.00
I always hated Elvis, so this parody is particularly hilarious to me.
Blackboard JungleBlackboard Jungle
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $7.00
Great early rock film about juvenile delinquents.  A must-see classic.
Rock My WorldRock My World
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $0.48
Though this movie is a little stupid and makes Peter O'Toole look like an old fool, the band Casino recorded some great stuff for this movie.
To Sir, With LoveTo Sir, With Love
Buy used from: $43.28
A bit like The Blackboard Jungle, except it takes place in England, and this time Sidney Poitier is the teacher.  Lulu and the Mindbenders do some great songs.
The Breakfast Club (High School Reunion Collection)The Breakfast Club (High School Reunion Collection)
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $2.98
Another great 80s flick lousy with awesome, dated new wave songs.
The Doors (Special Edition)The Doors (Special Edition)
Buy new: $5.99 / Used from: $0.09
Oliver Stone filmed this so that the viewer had the impression they were on an acid trip.  Very cool, almost surreal take on Jim Morrison the enigma.
Grease (Widescreen Edition)Grease (Widescreen Edition)
Buy used from: $3.82
Everyone  in this movie is too old to play a teenager, but it's still fun in spite of it.  Or is it because of it?  Stockard Channing looks like somebody's mom, and that always makes me laugh.
Almost FamousAlmost Famous
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $2.22
If you don't love this movie, there is surely something wrong with you.  Touching, funny, and captures the spirit of both classic rockers and journalists.
