Buy used from: $15.00 A good basic intro to communcating in Irish, if you can find it. Lacks language detail, but it does teach you how to speak basic Ulster Irish. It's more than a phrase book, but less than a full-on grammar-intensive course.

Buy new: $20.12 / Used from: $14.05 Okay, well, I'm not as fond of this one. It's a bit disorganized and phrase oriented. It does, however let you hear the language (important) and presents basic grammar. This could be a good choice for learners who prefer to sort of "jump into" a language without a lot of structured information.

Buy new: $18.45 / Used from: $12.49 Good solid book with lots of info. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit too phrase oriented in the vocabulary. That's a minor complaint, though, and other aspects certainly make up for it.

Buy used from: $999.99 Okay, this is neither Irish nor Gaelic. But it is a cool language that is spoken in Scotland and closely related to English. Be sure to order the CD's too. It looks like a new edition with CD is comming out soon.
