Buy used from: $1.50 Steel managed to combine Shaq's mediocre acting abilities with the comic book source material and come out pretty darn funny. So influential was this film that Warner has apparently decided not to even bother bringing this one over to DVD.

Buy new: $8.49 / Used from: $3.29 Touted to be the next big thing after Tim Burton's 1988 hit "Batman", Warren Beatty and Disney managed to fall a little short in reviving the Dick Tracy franchise. A cameo from Madonna didn't hurt either.

Buy new: $12.49 / Used from: $4.98 Okay so technically this one wasn't translated directly from a comic book, it was an homage to the comic heroes of the 1930s and 1940s. A bit campy, it still holds up pretty well.
