One of the hottest groups in the US in 1968, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass recorded some very original interpretations of holiday classics, rather than simply producing the standard Christmas Album that was almost obligatory for big name acts of that period. The recent reissue contains original artwork and extensive notes on the making of the album. I love it!

I just love this collection of Christmas tunes by various artists. Carl Anderson's reading of "O Holy Night" is one of the best I've heard, and Patti Austin's "Christmas Time Is Here" really complements Vince Guaraldi's work in "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
