Aylmer Vance is an intriguing character although not fully developed, still they are well worth a read.

This is more a book about ghosts than it is about other creatures such as vampires, but the Victorians were fascinated with ghosts and this shows in the quality of the tales.

Ambrose Pierce is a great writer.

This is an account of a creature that many at the time thought was a werewolf, it certainly acted strangely. I highly recommend this book.

Another book I used in my writing. Summers was an expert on the folklore of werewolves and vampires although he did tend to wander off on a tangent at times in his writing.

Just to finish off Montague Summers expertise his book on witches. His opinion about witches was quite controversial at the time and is even more so now, he thought the Hammer of thev Witches was one of the greatest books ever written and that it was responsible for the death of actual witches as opposed to them being victims of a crazy obsession and greed.
