Dylan goes electric! Many of his fans forsook him when Dylan finally set aside his acoustic guitar. There's not a clinker on this CD although the single collaboration with Johnny Cash is a bit funky.

The Yardbirds "sort of" became Led Zeppelin down the road a bit (even though The Yardbirds are still playing with 2 original members -- Get the "Birdland" CD). This is Classic Rock root music at its best.

While not as acclaimed by critics, I love this album as much as I do Led Zeppelin II -- I've worn out three 8-tracks, 2 cassetes, 3 vinyl albums, and 1 CD already (scratched!!!). Believe me -- I have my new one already.

It's amazing how many people don't know about this album -- I've worn out multiple copies and when you hear this great masterwork of rock, you'll see why.

Possibly, (argueably), the greatest Classic Rock album of all time. A "must own" for anyone who's serious about classic rock music. It gained dubious fame from Charles Manson's bizarre glamorization of the songs, asserting that The Beatles were actually directing his "Helter Skelter" scheme to take over the world!

The "goodbye" album. A little of each Beatle individually is on here. It really is an incredibly fine album although Beatlemania people are often saddened by its basis for existence.

The ultimate in Janis Joplin. She never came off better than she did with Big Brother and the Holding Company, although her inept handlers felt differently at the time. Their primitive gritty sound tenoned perfectly with Janet's amazing voice. This is a little-known album these days but you don't want to pass it over.

Neil Young is missing but don't let that keep you from hearing the amazing stuff on this album. Rock treasure!

I hear arguements about The Dead -- some say that they weren't huge in their day. Maybe, but Garcia did as much or more for classic rock music as did Eric Clapton (a lot!), in my humble opinion. I selected this particular album because it's so easy to listen to -- just great stuff!

As great as the "High Tides and Green Grass," album but not as many cuts. Still, the song "Mother's Little Helper" makes up for the shortage! Pure rock treasure!

Yeah? Laugh all ya want! The song "California Dreamin'" still sends chills down yer spine -- deny it!

"When a Man Loves a Woman" and "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" are two of the most requested songs I get when I'm playing solo guitar for friends. But all the songs on this early album are amazing.

All collecters of rock music HAVE to own this one for the song that drove all rock DJs crazy with it's length, long before "Stairway to Heaven" (by Led Zeppelin) ever did. In-the-Garden-of-Eden?

Of course, you buy this CD for one song -- but the rest are tolerable too. Many versions of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" were played and sung over the years -- but it's best heard performed by Procol Harum.

Due to poor quality sound on an early album release, I chose this one instead. Sam's still alive and Dave is Dead. I'm a poet, etc.....

Never heard of him, huh? I'm not in the least surprised! This is some VERY strange early classic rock music, but Parks was right there in the beginning alonside all the greats. You'll either love this guy or hate him really badly. But, if you're a collector, you can hardly ignore his fascinating work.

Did you know that Van Morrison and Jim Morrison (both smashed, I hear) once sung onstage together (Van was the walk-on) and NO ONE recorded it!?! What bungling bungholes! Anyway, if there's a better feel-good rock tune than "Brown-eyed Girl," I simply do not no what it would be.

"Stone Cold Fever" is the hit here but all the cuts are just super. These guys should have been much bigger than they ever got. A collector's treasure.

Wow! What a classy lady and what great old Motown tunes! Latch on to this one and enjoy an hour of your life to the ultimate.
